Ausnet's Energy Resilience Community Fund
The following snippet is from the Yarra Ranges Business Newsletter:
AusNet is offering financial support to individuals ($300 payment) and small businesses (up to $5000 payment) impacted by power outages of more than 72 hours due to severe weather events in February 2024.
To be eligible as an individual you must:
- Hold an electricity account for a property within the AusNet network that was without power for more than 72 hours between 13 - 22 Feb 2024
- Hold a Health Care Card or Pension Card
- Not be eligible for a Prolonged Power Outage Payment
To be eligible as a business you must:
- Hold an electricity account for a property within the AusNet network and be operating from a location that was without power for more than 72 hours between 13th - 22nd Feb 2024
- Have an ABN
- Provide proof of losses from the power outage that is not covered by insurance (eg. refrigerated stock)
- Provide a statutory declaration that the business, is not insured for the loss, has an annual payroll of $10 million or less and was not able to access backup emergency power supply
Apply before 11:59pm on Tuesday, 30 April 2024.
